Haere mai, welcome.

We are a team of researchers passionate about young people and mental health in schools and their communities.

Our goal is to conduct and communicate high-quality research that makes a real difference in the lives of young people (rangatahi) across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our team

NZ LAMB (Learning, Achievement, Motivation, & Behaviour) is a diverse team of researchers and students interested in the disciplines spanning from education to psychology, focused specifically on mental health among young people. Click below to read our bios and recent publications.

Our Research

We ask (and explore) big questions that are meaningful to young people. Whether we’re trying to understand how teens cope with stress, what happiness looks like, or how to communicate well, high-quality research is our best tool to gain knowledge and work toward empowering young people and leading change.
